"Pathways" is a visionary film written and directed by Filipe Vargas, is a groundbreaking research and development project by the Entertainment Technology Center (ETC). On this project, Ben Abergel served as Co-Head of AI Technology and Production alongside Khayyam Khan. Together, they developed a hybrid AI and live-action production workflow, integrating AI across pre-production, production, and post-production. Ben’s role focused on blending cutting-edge real-time virtual production tools with AI, developing AI-generated backgrounds to replace traditional sets, and shaping an innovative pipeline that supported both creative freedom and technical efficiency while preserving the film’s artistic integrity.
